The Smart Grid Simulation Framework: Model-Driven Engineering Applied to Cyber-Physical Systems

Smart grids are complex systems for which simulation offers a practical way to evaluate and compare multiple solutions before deployment. However, the of Grid requires development heterogeneous models corresponding electrical, information processing, telecommunication behaviors. These must be linked analyzed together in order detect influences on one another identify emerging We apply model-driven engineering such cyber-physical combining physical digital components propose SGridSF, Simulation Framework, automates tasks ensure consistency between different models. This framework consists mainly domain specific language modeling cosimulation unit, called CosiML Cosimulation Modeling Language, functional architecture Grid, SGridML tool implementing transformation rules generate files scripts executing cosimulation. Finally, we illustrate use SGridSF real case an islanded grid diesel renewable sources, battery storage intelligent control production. show sequencing automatic generation that minimizes effort risk error at each iteration process.
